SCBA
SCBA is known as a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus. It is the most important piece of equipment that first responders will take into a fire. To provide 100% confidence, this needs to be reliable, comfortable, and user-friendly.
Fremont Marine has developed breathing apparatuses with advanced functionalities for safety, reliability, and usability. Through extensive collaboration and testing with firefighters, Fremont Marine has designed a full line of self-contained breathing apparatuses. They are smart, intuitive, and easy to use, delivering everything you need in your SCBA.
Fremont Marine is a global leader in safety technology and personal protective equipment, and the SCBAs are engineered to the highest standards of safety as we as durability.
How SCBA Works
Air Storage: A high-pressure cylinder stores breathable air, often around 2200-4500 psi.
Pressure Reduction: A regulator reduces the extremely high cylinder pressure down to an intermediate pressure, which is around 10 bar.
Air Delivery: This intermediate pressure air travels via a hose to a demand valve on the mask.
On-Demand Airflow: When the user inhales, the demand valve opens, delivering just enough air to meet the inhalation demand, then closes as they exhale.
Positive Pressure: The system maintains slightly higher pressure inside the mask than outside. It prevents contaminated air from leaking in, especially if the mask seal breaks.
Exhalation: Exhaled breath exits through the mask's exhalation valve into the environment.
Monitoring: A pressure gauge shows remaining air, and if the air is low, an audible alarm sounds.

Where To Wear SCBA
Fire services
Firefighters put their lives on the line to save others. That’s why it is important for them to wear SCBA. It supplies the wearer with breathable air from a compressed air vessel or through a pneumatic system connected by hoses.
Oil & gas industry workers
Workers involved in drilling, refining, maintenance, and exploration activities in the oil and gas industry So they have to wear SCBAs to ensure their safety in potentially hazardous environments such as confined spaces, wells, or during hydrocarbon releases.
Chemical industry workers
It is as important for the employees working with chemicals, including those in manufacturing plants, refineries, and chemical storage facilities. Often, they rely on SCBAs to protect themselves from toxic gases, fumes, and vapours.
